(More customer reviews)I was excited to get this solar powered device because it was, for the most part, wireless. It's a nice detector but the first problem I ran into was the flimsey double-backed tape method of mounting it to the dash. Would not adhere at all! So I reverted to the windshield mount with suction cups. Better than average adherence. But, since I assumed that "solar powered" meant leave it in the sun, I was quickly disappointed when I discovered that as the unit sat in my car during the heat of the day, the plastic arm apparently could not support the weight of the unit and it literally melted causing the unit to droop. The manufacturer was quick to send another arm, but it melted in the first 24 hours that it sat in the sun. Wait a few months for this one to get the specs right.
