I was looking last year for a bluetooth unit for my helmet and my Boss bought a BlueAnt uinit that I almost went with, but I found as I was searching that Chatterbox was coming out with this unit, so I waited 3 months for it to finaly come out and WOW was it worth the Wait!
this unit rocks! easy to setup and easy to use even while riding! buttons are easy to locate and use while riding (once you learn what button does what).
the Sound quality is unbelievable! I was worried as I had tried some other units and could not hear them at speeds over 40MPH, but this unit is Loud! I can hear it fine at 80+MPH. (I ride an 89 Honda CBR600f Hurricane, with a loud Yoshi Pipe.)
my main unit is in a VOX Modular helmet, and my secondary is in my Shoei helmet, they link right up when turned on and one of the coolest features (and part of the reason I waited on this unit) was the ability to use only 1 mp3 player (mine is a bluetooth unit called a "Pilot" bought at best buy for about $90, it is a 4GB unit with FM tuner.) and send the signal fom one unit to the other, that way my passenger can hear exactly what I hear! when the passenger hits the talk button the music gets muted, we can talk and then after a few seconds of silence the music comes back up! works the same for the cell phone too! the units can also connect to different audio sources if that is what you need. and they can both connect to different cell phones as well.
only problem I had with the cell phone connection is after they have been paired and you go to connect the phone to the xBi, the connection causes the phone to do a last number redial, it is mentioned in the documentation that this is a known issue and I think there are some phones that might not have this issue but most do. it's not a problem if you know about it and are prepared to cancel the call as soon as it starts to dial.
I use it daily for about an hour a day and don't have to recharge very often as I only recharge on the weekends(whether it needs it or not.) so I know it will do about 10 hours without a recharge. (at least in my experience!)
because I didn't want to stick the mic to the front of my helmet I bought the openface kit for both of my helmets and that allows you to move the Mic out of the way, or adjust it to be heard better, and I recomend this as a general rule, as it can easily be moved from one helmet to another this way as well.
this unit can be connected to other units (of the same type) so that you can talk to other riders in your party as well, even if they are on different bikes. I think the range for this is about 2 miles but I have not been able to test it yet as none of my friends have this unit.
in all I would say this is the best unit on the market right now, and it's well worth the money they are asking for it! (I paid $180 each for mine at a retail Cycle Shop.)
ChatterBox has definately made a winner here! I give it a 5 star rating all the way and hope that everyone has as good of an experience as I have so far!

keep 'em upright and between the lines!
